DETROIT, Mich. – It's back! Last year's popular awards reception – The Mane Event – will return to Motor City Casino Hotel's Amnesia Room for a night carved out to celebrate the many fine academic and athletic student-athlete accomplishments over the course of the past year. This year's event will take place Monday, April 7 at 8 p.m. on the 16th floor of Motor City Casino Hotel and will once again be a semi-formal affair similar to the ESPY Awards on ESPN in an environment that overlooks Detroit's evening skyline.

All current student-athletes and coaches are encouraged to attend the awards reception that will feature a butler-passed dessert selection and an awards ceremony in a night full of the "Best of the Best" from the past year of action on the Marygrove campus (see below for list of tentative awards). All student-athletes and coaches must RSVP to Matt Johnson at 313-927-1290, mjohnson@marygrove.edu, or by visiting the men's soccer office (MC 049) no later than Monday, March 31.

Guests of student-athletes may attend by having their respective student-athlete RSVP with their information by the March 31 deadline. All guests will be charged $25 for the two-hour event that honors the achievements of Marygrove's outstanding student-athletes.
