DETROIT, Mich. -- Theresa Dray (Davison, Mich./Davison), a dual-sport student-athlete at Marygrove, takes aim at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) field Friday (May 2) as the conference holds day two of their annual outdoor championships. After taking a full year off of track activities, Dray returned to the sport she loves to throw the shot put and discus events. After shaking off the rust, Dray is now ready to see where she stands among the conference competition.
Dray, a six-foot forward that recently completed a successful freshman campaign for the women's basketball team, will enter her second collegiate track & field competition Friday at Siena Heights – the host of the WHAC Championships. Dray's only other collegiate outdoor event was also at Siena Heights when the Mustangs competed in the Don Kleinow Invitational back on April 12.
The shot put and discus events are both scheduled to start around 4 p.m. Friday. A full recap of Dray's day will be provided on MarygroveMustangs.com once official results are released.
