BERRIEN SPRINGS, Mich.-The men from Marygrove hit the road for Andrews University on Wednesday hoping for a season sweep over a pesky Cardinals squad. A 44-23 halftime lead developed into a 73-46 victory for the Mustangs.

The win lifts the Mustangs' record to 5-12 on the season and locked up a season sweep of the Cardinals.

Junior forward/center Eric Johnson (Southfield, Mich.) used another strong performance to lead the Mustangs to their fifth victory of the season. Johnson paced the Mustang attack with 17 points en rout to a 73-46 victory. The 17 points was his third game in double-figures in as many outings.

Despite early foul trouble, sophomore guard Marcus Hopkins (Southfield, Mich.) dropped in 11 points.

NEXT UP: The Mustangs travel to Kentucky for a Saturday afternoon match-up against NAIA power Lindsey Wilson College. Tip-off is set for 4pm. Live Stats
