URBANA, Ohio-The Mustangs were unable to find a rhythm from the floor against a tough Urbana University squad on Saturday. The Blue Knights (NCAA Division 2) dominated on the defensive end by holding the visiting Mustangs to a chilly 21% (16-for-76) shooting from the field.

A Blue Knight counterattack of 40% shooting and a 19-rebound advantage was enough to dispel the Mustangs, 74-35. The win marked the 9th in the last 10 games for the well-rounded Blue Knights.

Freshman standout Keara Marks (Detroit, Mich.) led the Mustangs once again. The athletic forward has been a shining star over the Mustangs last five games despite a subpar 2-3 record during that span. Marks' was the lone Mustang in double figures with 10 points. She added a career-high 14 rebounds (six offensive) in the loss. Marks was followed by junior forward Ebony Jackson (Ferndale, Mich.) with a balanced line of 8 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 blocks.

On Wednesday, the Mustangs travel to NCCAA upstart Kuyper College. The Cougars were on the losing end of the first battle between the two teams this season (83-47 Mustangs 11/10/09). Tip-off is set for 6pm.
