DETROIT, MI- The women's basketball team traveled to Adrian, MI this afternoon to take on Siena Heights University. The Mustangs could not come away with a road victory losing 81-43.
The Mustangs (3-16, 1-9 WHAC) could not stop the Saints offensive attack giving up 24 second chance points. On the offensive side, the Mustangs struggled to hit the open shot and only posted a 24.6% field goal percentage.
Elisha Major (SR/Flushing, MI) led all scorers with 15 points. Major added two rebounds and a steal. Leijla Masinovic (SO/Hamtramck, MI) finished with 10 points, two steals, and two rebounds. Breanna Thomas (SR/San Antonio, TX) was just shy of a double-doulbe scoring nine points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
Overall, the Mustangs shot 83.3% from the free throw line and 24.2% from beyond the arc.
The women's basketball team's next contest is January 11th, at home, against Lawrence Tech University. Tip-off set for 6:00PM at the Northwest Activities Center (NWAC).
