DETROIT, Mich. -- The Marygrove College women's volleyball head coach Porsche Carlisle announced the addition of LaJuanita Owens-Berry and Lark Tate to the 2017-18 incoming recruiting class. Lajuanita and Lark signed their National Letter-of-Intents to play volleyball for the Mustangs next fall.
Lujuanita is a 5-foot-9 front middle from Detroit, Michigan. She was named Most Improved Player at Detroit Edison and helped lead her team to a District Championship. She currently plays travel volleyball for Club Xtreme based out of Detroit.
Tate is a 5-foot-7 middle/outside from Brownstown, Michigan. She was named to the All-City team and helped lead her team to a League Championship title. Tate currently plays travel volleyball for the well-known Michigan Elite.
The Marygrove College women's volleyball team will open the 2017 season against Macomb Community College on August 12th, at 11:00 a.m.
