WATERFORD, Mich.-Mustang women's basketball picked up a highly-touted recruit last week with the signing of Tiffany Coleman, senior at Waterford Mott High School. Coleman signed a 2010-11 Letter of Intent alongside numerous supporters inside Mott's LGI classroom.
Coleman, a 5'10"
power forward, is fresh off a stellar senior campaign that culminated with an
all-star game appearance at Oakland
University in April. Making
the most of her effort, Coleman came into the talented-laden game late and made
a giant impression. The focused forward helped ice the game for the North
All-Star Team with two late buckets under pressure.
During the
2009-10 season, the former Corsair's near double-double averages of 12 PPG and
9.8 RPG helped lead her team to a Kensington Lakes Activities Association (KLAA)
North Division title and District Championship. The strong play landed her on
the KLAA All-Conference and All-State Honorable Mention Teams.
"Tiffany is
a fun-loving, competitive athlete. She is an extremely hard-working player on
the court. It was a true joy coaching her for the past two seasons. I am sad to
see her go, but so excited to watch her succeed in future endeavors," said Mott
head coach Jes Cox.
Coach Hitchcock on Coleman: Tiffany is a huge addition to our 2010 recruiting class. She flew "under the radar" of most recruiters. For that, we are thankful because we truly added a solid player to our program on and off the court. I can't wait to get the opportunity to coach Tiffany in the fall.
