Emanuel Simpson

WATERFORD, Mich.-Joining De'Vontay Green was teammate Emanuel Simpson. The duo [Green and Simpson] will look to make an immediate impression with their play as Mustangs in the fall. Simpson inked his 2010-11 Letter of Intent immediately following Green at Waterford Mott High School.

Simpson, a 6'3" lengthy forward, is a hard-working student-athlete with a tremendous amount of upside. The ultra-athletic forward spent three seasons on the Corsairs' varsity squad. During the past two seasons, Simpson's well-rounded efforts played a role in back-to-back KLAA North Division Championships, as well as a KLAA Conference Title this past season. The sound play eventually led to a KLAA All-Conference Honorable Mention spot after his senior campaign.

Simpson also hit the gridiron for Corsair Football for two varsity seasons.

Asst. Coach Covington on Simpson: Emanuel is a fine young man that has the ability for a bright future like his high school teammate, De'Vontay Green. I look forward to four great years out of Emanuel as a Mustang. His athleticism around the basket will be an asset in no time.
