DETROIT, Mich.-On Friday, the Southfield-to-Marygrove connection continued with the signing of Victor Gullatte, senior from Southfield High School. The singing was a catalyst to three other signings in as many days for the new track & field program at Marygrove College.
Gullatte, a 5'10" talented runner, has groomed his skills over the course of a highly-respected career. The two-year track star competed in the 200m and 400m, while running in the 4x100 and 4x200 relays. This weekend, Gullatte will compete at the MHSAA Track & Field State Meet. The invitation to states was a deserving one after his 49.5 time in the 400m earlier this season at West Bloomfield High School. His talents led him to the Think Detroit Pal Elite squad where he excels in the 400m as well.
Coach Womack on Gullatte: Victor is a great young man with a bright future. I project great things from him as long as he continues his commitment to the sport and his studies. I look forward to coaching him next year.
