ALLENDALE, Mich. -- The women's track & field team roster hobbled into the 2012 Mike Lints Alumni Open after injuries and bereavement leave kept some student-athletes out of action. The annual indoor meet was hosted by Grand Valley State University.

Ashley Hart (Oak Park, Mich./Oakland CC) once again highlighted the day for the Mustangs with stellar performances in the 60m and 200m. In the 60m, Hart shot out of the block for a time of 8.59. The pace clocked Hart in the top half of competitors in the event. In the 200m, Hart hit her stride en route to a 28.64 time. Both times were personal records for Hart as she hits the halfway point of her first collegiate season.

"Ashley came out strong today and with great focus. She competed well and earned two personal records for her efforts. I am pleased with the progress our team has made as a young program," said head coach LaCema Womack.

The Mustangs will hit the indoor oval once again on Saturday, January 28 when the visit Findlay University for the 2012 Findlay Classic.
