ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Mustangs (4-6-1; 2-0-1 WHAC) settled for a 3-3 tie after holding a 2-1 lead in the second half. Despite not getting the win they were looking for, the tie kept the Mustangs out of the loss column in conference play.
Senior forward Jordan Berry (Dearborn, Mich./Crestwood) put the Mustangs on top early in the first with his 12th goal on the season after receiving the ball off of a Jad El-Zein (Tyre, Lebanon/Fordson) assist.
The Cardinals would even the score in the second half. The tie would not last for long as the Mustangs answered back with an El-Zein goal to bring his total points to three on the afternoon.
Late in the game, the Mustangs played down and let up two Concordia goals (one via PK) to go down, 3-2. Berry knocked in his 13th goal of the season off of a late PK to tie the game and eventual send it to extra time.
In extra time, both teams couldn't find the back of the net and settled for a 3-3 tie.
The Mustangs host undefeated conference counterpart, Indiana Tech, at 1:30pm Wednesday.
