DETROIT, Mich. -- A shaky first half ended up costing the Mustangs (6-6-1; 1-2-1 WHAC) against first place Indiana Tech (12-2; 4-0 WHAC). The visiting Warriors would add a few late goals to win, 8-2.

After being down 3-0 at the half, the Mustangs were able to battle back behind a Cheyenne York (Taylor, Mich./Truman) goal to make it a 4-1 contest early in the second half. Kamry Miller (New Boston, Mich./UM-Dearborn) played a great ball in to York to get the assist.

The Warriors would add another before Paige Bicoll (Warren, Mich./Mott) beat the keeper right side on a penalty kick after a foul in the box. The 5-2 score would hold until two minutes remained. From there, the Warriors added three late goals to take an 8-2 conference win back to Indiana.

The Mustangs will hit the pitch again Saturday (Oct. 13) at home against Madonna University at 12:30pm.
