LIMA, Ohio -- First year head coach Jamie Baker led the Mustangs (9-14; 0-7 WHAC) into arguably their toughest test to date of the 2012 campaign when they visiting the 25-1 Racers of University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH). The Racers, a team sitting just outside the NAIA Top-25, topped the Mustangs in three sets.

UNOH 3, Marygrove 0 (10-25, 17-25, 13-25)

Despite dropping the match, the Mustangs had plenty of wins within the sets as they frustrated the favored Racers on several occasions. In the end, the Racers' (26-1; 7-0 WHAC) momentum of winning 21-straight matches heading into Tuesday's (Oct. 16) WHAC tilt was too much for the Mustangs.

The Mustangs were paced by Alixandria Pappas (St. Clair Shores, Mich./Lakeview) and Kiara Cobbs (Detroit, Mich./King) with four kills each.

1,000 Dig Watch

Megan Gohl (Belleville, Mich./Belleville) ended the night with 11 assists and two digs. The senior setter, who has amassed over 3,000 career assists, is now seven digs shy of the 1,000 dig club. Elizabeth Lerczak (Hale, Mich./Hale) took a large step toward her pursuit of 1,000 digs with 13 against the Racers to bring her career total to 958.

The Mustangs will be back in action tomorrow (Wednesday) evening at home when they host Davenport University at 7:00pm from UD-Jesuit High School (Parents' Night).
