ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Elizabeth Lerczak (Hale, Mich./Hale) inched closer to becoming the fourth member of Marygrove's 1,000 digs club in Wednesday's (Oct. 24) 3-1 defeat at Concordia University-Ann Arbor. Lerzcak ended the night nine shy of 1,000 after tallying 18 digs in the four-set affair.

The Mustangs fought hard and ended the evening with a balanced effort statistically. Freshman Alixandria Pappas (St. Clair Shores, Mich./Lakeview) led the team in the kills department with 11, while junior Katharina Hall (Livonia, Mich./Henry Ford CC) chipped in eight kills of her own.

Jaci Michetti (Woodhaven, Mich./Wayne State University) led all Mustangs in digs with 24. Megan Gohl (Belleville, Mich./Belleville) and Lerczak followed with 22 and 18 digs respectively.

Gohl would lead the way in assists with 31. Kiara Cobbs (Detroit, Mich./King) extended her team-lead in blocks by adding three solo and three block assists.

The Mustangs (9-17; 0-9 WHAC) travel to Grand Rapids, Mich. Friday (Oct. 26) for a two-day tournament that kicks off with a neutral court contest against familiar foe, Rochester (Mich.), at 6:00pm.
