SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Mustangs (10-22; 0-11 WHAC) will head into the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament as the No. 12 seed after dropping their regular season finale to fellow conference newcomer, Lawrence Tech University. The host Blue Devils were able to break away from the Mustangs after the match was tied at one set apiece to win, 3-1 (16-25, 25-23, 22-25, 15-25).

Kiara Cobbs (Detroit, Mich./King) continued her recent trend as team leader in kills with 10. Jaci Michetti (Woodhaven, Mich./Wayne State) followed closely with nine kills and seven digs. Elizabeth Lerczak (Hale, Mich./Hale) chimed in with seven kills, while Megan Gohl (Belleville, Mich./Belleville) added six to go along with 26 assists.

Alixandria Pappas (St. Clair Shores, Mich./Lakeview) ended the night with six kills.

Shana Tooley (Belleville, Mich./Belleville) and Katharina Hall (Livonia, Mich./Henry Ford CC) chipped in with 14 and 10 digs respectively.

The Mustangs enter WHAC postseason play as the No. 12 seed. The seeding will send the team on the road to face the No. 5 seed Racers of Northwestern Ohio. The first round match will be played Wednesday (Nov. 7) with the time to be determined.
