DETROIT, Mich. -- The University of Detroit Titans shot out to an early lead and never let up as the NCAA D1 program topped the Mustangs, 125-35. Despite the setback, the Mustangs record remains unblemished due to the game's exhibition status.

The Mustangs will begin regular season play at home Saturday (Nov. 10) at 1:00pm when they host Kuyper College. Live audio and live stats will accompany Saturday's season-opener for those that cannot make the trip to Highland Park's Ford Field House.

Senior Keara Marks (Detroit, Mich./Renaissance) remains 43 points shy of becoming the program's third* 1,000-point scorer. The senior forward remains a full season shy of former Mustang Amanda DeGain's program record of 1,324 career points.

*Tiffany Burt was also able to climb over the 1,000-point plateau for the women's basketball program at the end of the 2005-06 season.
