KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Mustangs (0-3) played their first NCAA DI opponent of the 2012-13 campaign when they hit the road to take on Mid-American Conference power, Western Michigan University (1-1).

Both teams shot out to a highly competitive first 18 minutes of play before a 7-0 run helped push the Broncos ahead by 12 at the break, 35-23.
