BUTTE, Mont. -- Recent 1,000-point scorer Keara Marks (Detroit, Mich./Renaissance) continued her torrid scoring pace this season by setting a new career high in Friday's (Nov. 23) 86-65 loss to the host Lady Diggers of Montana Tech (3-4).

The senior forward poured in a game-high 35 points to clip her previous career best 34 points. The former record was set during Marks freshman campaign against Grace Bible (Mich.) on February 3, 2010.

Down 14 at the half with the score 41-27 Diggers, the Mustangs (1-3, 0-2 WHAC) added a healthy dose of Marks in the second half as the forward scored 29 of her game-high 35 in the latter stanza.

Marks would add seven rebounds and six steals to her stat line in the opener of a three-game set in Montana.

Freshman guard Elisha Major (Flint, Mich./Flushing) chipped in eight points for the Mustangs.

The Mustangs will have a short turnaround as they hit the court for another 9 p.m. EST tip at Montana Western Saturday (Nov. 24).
