GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Mustangs fell to 1-11 overall and 1-5 in the conference with after a 77-55 setback at Aquinas College (4-9, 3-3 WHAC).
The deciding factor in the game may have been the Saints ability to control post play as they went on to take a 38-10 advantage in points in the paint. The 28-point margin was good enough to keep the Mustangs away from threatening most of the contest.
Freshman point guard Diante Taylor (Battle Creek, Mich./Central) and sophomore guard Zamarre Neely (Detroit, Mich./Summit Academy) each scored 11 to lead the Mustangs in the road conference loss.
The Mustangs will have time off before returning to the court to host Concordia University-Ann Arbor Saturday (Dec. 15) at 3 p.m. The contest will feature a live audio webcast and live stats.
