Women's Basketball - Thu, Dec. 27, 2012

DETROIT, Mich. -- After time off for the holidays, head coach Antonio Hitchcock and the Mustangs (1-11, 0-7 WHAC) will look to rebound heading into the second half of the 2012-13 season. The team's first test comes at the Davenport University Holiday Tournament in Grand Rapids.

The Friday/Saturday challenge will open Friday at 5:30 p.m. with a tough test against fellow NAIA counterpart, Holy Cross College (Ind.). The Saints (5-10, 2-7 CCAC) enter the holiday tournament after dropping their last two contests. On Dec. 18, the Saints lost a heartbreaker to conference rival Saint Francis, 89-81 (2OT).

On Saturday (Dec. 29), the Mustangs will square off against familiar foe, St. Clair College (Canada), at 1 p.m. St. Clair heads into the holiday tournament winners of their last three contests. Last season, the Mustangs won both meetings against St. Clair College.
