Women's Track & Field - Sat, Jan. 19, 2013

ALLENDALE, Mich. -- The women's indoor track & field team took to the oval Friday (Jan. 18) at the 2013 Mike Lints Open hosted by Grand Valley State University. Freshman sprinter Devin Willis (Flint, Mich./Carman Ainsworth) once again had a stellar day despite not being 100% with a slight injury.

In the 60m, Willis shot out to a time of 8.75 to finish 35th out of a loaded field of NCAA DI, II, III and NAIA competition. The 8.75 time was good enough to top many NCAA Division I performers as the freshman continues to improve.

The women's indoor team will continue their season at Friday's (Jan. 25) Midwest Open hosted by Spire Institute. The meet will take place in Geneva, Ohio.
