Geneva, Ohio -- Sophomore cross country and track & field student-athlete George Jackson (Detroit, Mich./Mumford) returned from a brief illness to record a personal best time in the 800m run with a time of 1:57. The sub-two-minute time was one of many strong times for the sophomore track standout.

Jackson was flanked by fellow sophomores Robert Crockett (Detroit, Mich./King) and Akil Prowell (Detroit, Mich./Crockett) who entered the mile.

Coming off a week in which he set two PRs, Crockett nearly matched his record pace with a mile time of 4:51. The time was two seconds off his personal best set last week at Grand Valley's Mike Lints Open.

Prowell ran the mile in 5:14 as the sophomore continues his climb back into competition shape.

Jalen Wilson (Detroit, Mich./CMA) lined up in the 200m and 400m runs and finished with times of 25.5 and 59.21 respectively.

Freshman Franz Beauregard (Detroit, Mich./Macomb CC) also ran the 200m and finished behind Wilson at 27.3.

Next Up: The Wildcat Invitational hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University Saturday (Feb. 2).
