MACOMB, Mich. -- The women's basketball program, led by head coach Antonio Hitchcock, picked up a local standout with a commitment from Lutheran High School North's Devon Querro. The current Lutheran North Mustang will make the transition to becoming a Marygrove Mustang next season.

Querro, a 5'4" combo guard, will head to Marygrove after compiling a well-rounded résumé at the club and high school level. At Lutheran North, Querro has been a two-year varsity player since transferring from nearby Utica Eisenhower.

At the club level, Querro has enjoyed success since her 10U playing days when she helped her team - The Michigan Shock - win a 2006 State Championship. Since the state title, Querro has enjoyed various Top-10 finishes while playing for the heralded Shock AAU team.

Most recently, the gritty guard played for the well-known Stars Basketball Club where she helped fine-tune her skills heading into her senior campaign.

Coach Hitchcock on Querro: Devon is a multi-dimensional guard that can play the 1, 2 or 3. She is a very hard worker and a solid defender that showcases a high basketball IQ due to solid coaching at the club and high school levels. I look forward to coaching Devon next year!
