YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Led by sophomore Robert Crockett (Detroit, Mich./King), the men's track & field team set out for their second outdoor event of the 2013 season with a trip to Ypsilanti, Mich., for the Eastern Michigan University Twilight Invite.

Crockett, the Mustangs' recipient for the WHAC Indoor Champions of Character Team, entered Saturday's (04/20) 800m event and finished with a time of 2:08.56. The time was two seconds off his previous 2013 outdoor pace of 2:06.91 set at the 8th Annual Toledo Collegiate Classic in late March.

Jalen Wilson (Detroit, Mich./CMA) toed the line in the 200m and finished at 25.41, while Akil Prowell (Detroit, Mich./Crockett) ran the 3,000m strong after crossing the line at 10:42.

Kenzie Fuquay (Detroit, Mich./Redford), entering his first meet at the collegiate level, tested his recent work in the weight room by tossing the shot put to the tune of 9.13m.

Next week, the Mustangs will head to Hillsdale to take part in the Gina Relays.
