Women's Track & Field - Sat, May. 4, 2013

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The women's track team, anchored by lone attached runner Devin Willis (Flint, Mich./Carman Ainsworth), ended a successful 2013 outdoor campaign Friday (5/3) at the WHAC Championships hosted by Aquinas College.

Willis, a freshman cross country and track & field student-athlete, entered the 100m and 200m events in a field that was host to all track & field programs from the conference. In the 100m, the freshman came out of the blocks strong and finished with a time of 13.91. The time placed Willis 17th amongst her conference counterparts.

In the 200m, Willis kept pace with her 100m effort by placing 17th once again after clocking in at 28.83. The time would eclipse Willis' previous PR of 29.07 in the 200m set earlier in the outdoor season.

A full season recap, including an interview with head coach LaCema Womack, will be available on in the coming weeks.
