SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- Wednesday's (Nov. 6) home game away from home proved to be a tough for the Mustangs (19-15, 2-9 WHAC) as Lawrence Tech (5-18, 2-9 WHAC) won the road match on their campus in five sets.

The loss, for now, halts the Mustangs' bid at the program's first 20-win season. Lawrence Tech earned their fifth win of the season after topping the Mustangs.

Katharina Hall (Livonia, Mich./Henry Ford CC) rallied her squad in the fourth set to give the Mustangs a chance in the deciding fifth set. The senior finished with a team-high 12 kills. Hall also added 16 digs in her final regular season contest as a Mustang.

Sisters Kara Kempinski (Livonia, Mich./Schoolcraft College) and Nicole Kempinski added 25 and 19 digs respectively.

The Mustangs end the WHAC regular season as the 10th seed. As the 10-seed, head coach Jamie Baker and the Mustangs will travel to seventh-seeded Lourdes University Wednesday (Nov. 13) to begin conference postseason play. The match is slated for a 7 p.m. start.
