

Coach Craig Covington is in his third year at Marygrove College. With 30 years of high school basketball coaching experience, Coach Covington is an excellent recruiter and has a great mind for the game. During his years coaching at the high school level, Covington helped guide back-to-back state championship teams at Class A Pontiac Northern High. Since that time Pontiac Northern has remained a power in the state for boy's basketball. He also was co-founder of the Tri-County Cobras AAU team.
Covington, a 1976 graduate of Oakland University earned his B.A. in Psychology while being a two-sport player in college. He played four years of basketball and baseball for OU. Coach currently resides in Troy, MI.
Coach Donahue on Covington: "His experience speaks for itself. He is a master of the game and brings many positives to our team. He was a standout student-athlete at the high school and college level and our players relate to that."

Coach Fisher is married to; Aschandria, son; Ali Jacobi and daughter; Gabriel.

Demerius Flowers enters his second year as head coach of the junior varsity program at Marygrove. It is his third year at Marygrove overall as he remains an assistant for the varsity.
Flowers has an extensive background as a player while at Bishop Borgess H.S., as well as a successful collegiate career at Alpena Community College and Huron College (SD).
Coach Donahue on Flowers: "I had the opportunity to coach Demerius at the High School level and guided him in his search for his college career. He is a fine young man and has maturity beyond his years. He is more than capable of coaching at this level and leading a successful JV program."

Garth Howard returned to basketball to assist the Mustangs after being away from the game for several years. Howard, a largely successful collegiate player at St. Mary's College (MI), will bring a wealth of knowledge to the staff. While at St. Mary's, Howard would climb the school's ranks to become the 2nd all-time scorer in school history.
Coach Howard is the brother of Greg Kelser (former Michigan State standout and current Pistons color-commentator). The two run a youth basketball camp called "Daring to be Great." Garth currently is an entrepreneur starting up his own business in motivational speaking and many other appearances in that field.
Coach Donahue on Howard: "Garth is a great person with an exceptional mind for the game. There is no ceiling for Garth if he decides to make this career his full-time job. He is a teacher on and off the court."
Greg Thomas comes to Marygrove with an extrodinary knowledge of how the collegiate game works on and off the floor. Thomas will handle on the floor coaching as well as play a major role in the administration of Mustang men's basketball.
Coach Thomas was hand-picked by Coach Donahue while coaching at Schoolcraft College. Naturally, Donahue reached out to Thomas to return to the bench and coach at Marygrove.
Coach Donahue on Thomas: "Greg is a huge asset to our program. He will play a vital role in our business operations. It was a no-brainer for me to reach out to Coach Thomas when I came to Marygrove. He commands the respect of the players and the players respect him."

Tasaun is in his third year assisting with the Mustang men's basketball program. During his heavy coaching load, Coach "Z" is finishing up his undergraduate degree at Marygrove College. Z's responsibilities include on court coaching and recruiting in metro Detroit.
Before attending Marygrove, Tasaun played two years of college football as a defensive lineman at Virginia State University. Zeigler is the cousin of Central Michigan Head Basketball Coach, Ernie Zeigler.
Coach Donahue on Zeigler: "Tasaun is eager to be successful in this field. The players relate well to him because he was a student-athlete in college as well. While Tasaun finishes up his degree, he will be assisting both our Varsity and JV teams."
