Ragen Coyne - Assistant Coach - 1st Season
Ragen Coyne will be serving an as assistant coach for the Mustangs Women's Soccer Program in its first season. Growing up in the metropolitan area, as a player and coach, Coyne is acquainted with various levels of the game from youth to adult in Michigan, across the country, and in Europe.
Coyne was a proud member of the Michigan Hawks '74 (Under 17 USYSA National Champions), Livonia Stevenson High School '88-'92 (State Champions and Miss Michigan in '91), and the University of Notre Dame (1995 NCAA National Champions). She also played in Europe as a member of the U16 and U19 Women's National Teams. Coyne was a USYSA Youth All-American (5 years), and a NSCAA All-American (2 years).
Additionally, Coyne has a USSF "D" License. At the high school level, she assisted the Livonia Stevenson, which took home a 1997 MHSAA State Championship. Coaching at the developmental level, she worked with the Livonia YMCA and the Magic Soccer Clubs. Coyne has been on staff for training camps at the University of Notre Dame, the University of Michigan, and locally for Rockers Soccer.
Coyne received a Bachleor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame in French Language and Literature. She plans to further her education at Marygrove College by acquiring a Certificate in French Translation.
Going into the inaugural season, Coyne hopes her soccer experiences and passion for the game will prove a positive model for the Mustangs.
