SYLVANIA, Ohio -- The fall season came to an end Friday (Oct. 12) at Sylvania Country Club in Sylvania, Ohio. The fourth conference event marked the culmination of a competitive fall season for WHAC golf. Ian McCarthy (Dexter, Mich./Dexter) was the lone fall golfer for the Mustangs.
Course: Sylvania Country Club | Par: 72 | Yards: 6,724
McCarthy, a freshman with plenty of experience for the spring championship season, finished the fall season with a round of 92. The round played to a total yardage of 6,724, par 72. McCarthy's 20-over was well above average for the freshman upstart.
Billy Stewart (Punta Gorda, Fla./Charlotte) is the only other current men's golf team member that will be ready to go once spring season rolls around. The Florida product is not a stranger to Michigan's courses as he made several stops in the mitten growing up.
The pair of McCarthy and Stewart are hopeful to lead a new cast of Mustang men's golfers into conference championship season beginning Spring 2013.
