DETROIT, Mich.-Signing number two went to Carisma Mitchell out of Michigan Collegiate High School. The highly talented student-athlete signed her Letter of Intent at Marygrove inside the Wellness Center.
Mitchell, a 5’6″ shooting guard, was a five-sport athlete during her days at Michigan Collegiate. In the fall, Mitchell ran cross country and played volleyball. Basketball was her main love when she hit the court in the winter and in the spring it was time softball and track.
The former distance runner also won individual division championships in cross country and track at Michigan Collegiate. “I’m excited,” said an anxious Mitchell in regards to starting her collegiate career this fall.
Coach Hitchcock on Baker: Carisma is a well-rounded athlete with plenty of potential. She is a welcome addition to our team and will push our team in practice each day. I am excited for the opportunity to coach a great young lady like Carisma.
