Butler, Houston Lead Talented Cast Into WHAC Meet

Regardless of Saturday’s outcome, Butler will have at least one more race remaining as he and women’s runner, Shana DeVoe, head to Lake Placid, New York, for the 2012 United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championship.

Butler and Houston have created competition within the team as both have held the program’s 8K record this season.

Joining the pair will be sophomores Robert Crockett (Detroit, Mich./King), George Jackson (Detroit, Mich./Mumford), and Akil Prowell (Detroit, Mich./Crockett). The trio continues to improve as they look to help the team finish amongst the top teams in the WHAC in year one.

Freshmen Jonathon Rutkowski (Riverview, Mich./Gabriel Richard) and Jalen Wilson (Detroit, Mich./CMA) round out the group that seeks to finish strongly in their first year in the conference.
